PCV Soft code

HI I seem to be getting a soft code 24194 - PCV valve malfunction, P052E Intermittent

I dont seem to have any issues in the running and the water is fine, There has been a need to top up the oil maybe once in say 6k

Does anyone know if this is the PVC and The breather with the valve built-in or Both.

Id like to try and get this clear. I know the SC has to come off but thats easy enough.

I can't truthfully answer that question, but I think that you should or need to get the engine ECU software updated when you have fitted the upgraded PVC.

Also, as the SC is being removed, probably time to replace the coolant thermostat and maybe even that pipe that runs "along" the valley, ie kill 3 birds with one stone!

I keep wondering when this will happen to me as my S4 is a Feb 2011 model with just over 30K miles.

I replaced the coolant a couple of years ago so now it has G12evo, I don't know which coolant is in your car, but if it is G13, then that version does not last very long if it does not have the "mit silikat" granules in the reservoir, my car had G12+ or G12++ so it did seem to stay away from becoming acidic for longer than the G13 in my wife's 2015 VW Polo 1.2TSI which really needs its coolant replacing - a job for this year!

Thanks for the advice. I have done the Thermostat and Water pump 2021 when the stat failed. I replaced the water with g13 and water wetter at the time. I'll go back to G12 next time around probably very soon.

I just want to try and clear this code and I'm happy to do the PCV and Pipe but Iv read that others have still had this code even after replacement.
