Hello,

I hope you're all doing well. I own a 2011 Audi A1 1.4 TFSI S tronic, and I'm currently dealing with some issues related to the ABS and gearbox. I recently replaced the clutch and gearbox, and now I'm facing problems with the ABS speed sensor. The ABS light is on, and I'm experiencing erratic behaviour with the speedometer and gearbox, such as fluctuating speeds and the gearbox warning icon lighting up.

I did a diagnostic scan, which indicated issues with the ABS wheel speed sensors. Here are some of the fault codes I found:

  • 006279 - Wheel-Speed Signal from ABS Control Module (P1887 - Implausible Signal)
  • 00290 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor; Rear Left (G46) (Electrical Fault in Circuit)
  • 00283 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor; Front Left (G47) (Implausible Signal - Intermittent)
From my research, I've found that there are different types of ABS sensors depending on whether the vehicle has a multi-link axle or a torsion beam axle. However, I'm having trouble determining which type of rear axle my car has.

Here’s my vehicle’s VIN: WAUZZZ8X8BB0XXXXX

Could anyone help me figure out the correct type of ABS sensor I need? Any advice or guidance on how to verify whether my Audi A1 has a multi-link or torsion beam axle would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has access to the detailed build sheet or specific parts information for this VIN, that would be incredibly helpful too.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Front Left - WHT003861B - £93.70+VAT (retail UK)
Rear Left - WHT003863C - £93.70+VAT (retail UK)

If you put those numbers into the likes of Autodoc you will get the Bosch/ATE/TRW OE number

Thank you so much for the information! I really appreciate you taking the time to look it up and provide the part numbers.
