Good evening,
Unfortunately I was involved in an accident a couple of weeks ago which has damaged the rear drivers door and rear quarter, straight after the accident I parked the car up and didn’t use it until I had to use it on the Friday.

When I went to start it I got an error message flash up on the dash saying adblue fault and that I only had 650 miles left and then I couldn’t start the engine.

Now this doesn’t show any fault code in the garages diagnostic machine so would I be right in thinking that the impact has either shook a sensor or knackered the pump?

It is in the body shop,it’s all repaired but now it’s waiting to got to Audi to sort this issue out, it’s all coming off his insurance as he hit me but I figured some one on here would give us the best place to start looking.

Surprised given the damage shown, did this error come up immediately after the accident or only after repaired as maybe they didn't plug a loom back in or something was accidentally done by them.

There was no warning on the dash immediately after the accident, I drove it home and parked it up.

I wasn’t going to use the car until the body shop had fixed it but 2 days later I had to use it and as I started it that’s when the message flashed up, so I phoned the body shop up and the other party’s insurance to tell them and it was decided that the car should be transported to the body shop not driven.

As I said it’s all repaired and is going to Audi to have this issue fixed, it’s just my curiosity as to what the issue could be.!

Tbh I'm still finding it hard to understand what could cause it from that minor damage unless something was pushed inwards on the adblue system parts etc.

I’ve been looking at other peoples issues with the same message and it varies from a stuck float, or a sensor not liking the impact or the same with the pump.

I’ll be interested to see what Audi say about it. The fact that there is no fault code makes me think that it is a minor issue.
