KW V3 are the usual go-to coilover, they have separate slow (cornering) and fast (pothole) rebound setting which is useful and they are well made but can be a significant change coming from DRC comfort. Standard non-DRC suspension is an option too. Depends on what you are looking for.
IMHO DRC is good when it works, especially on UK roads and switching from comfort to auto when needed. How bad is it? Lots of places can put it right.
