Hi all,
2006 Audi A3 8P Quattro 2.0TFSI here...
TLDR - Please can someone help decode this EEPROM / FLASH and find the true SKC. Tuner sent over what he thought was the SKC, but this hasn't worked on the ECU (1) 'Security Access' or Cluster (17) 'Security Access' within VCDS. I believe it's encrypted and needs decrypting.
Bit of background - purchased my car last year and over the course of this year been fixing a huge list of faults. Previous owner decided to short the traction control / ESC LED on the dashboard as he couldn't fix a Haldex related problem, therefore the LED on the dash doesn't light up when the button is pressed to turn it off. I've tested the button to determine the traction control can be turned off and on, but doesn't light up on the dashboard on initial ignition start or by the button press.
Upon scanning the control module (17/Cluster) within VCDS it gives me a ROM error/controller defective, so I can tell it's been messed with in the past.
I've recently had the ECU tuned, which caused a checksum error and the 'SAFE' code being presented on the dash. At this point we couldn't read or write via Autotuner. My tuner managed to fix this by benching the ECU using FoxFlash, then disabling powerclass and turning the ECU IMMO off. I'd like to get this turned back on after I've replaced the cluster. I'm unable to do this without knowing the SKC of both clusters.
The two scenarios I'm presented with are buy some expensive hardware to read the SKC or someone can potentially decode the below? (I'm aware the SKC of the cluster is the same of the ECU?)
Please find attached all read files from the ECU.
The ID is MPC 561/562External Flash ST M58BW016DB8P0907115K 0261S022201037386817EEPROM 2Kb
My tuner sent me the following, but this SKC below does not work within either ECU or Cluster.
Many thanks in advance.
