Is it normal for the rear speakers to be such low volume? I set the balance to rear to see what it sounds like and it’s very quiet. Is that to make it come from the front mostly? In other cars the rear speakers are just as loud as the front.

Mine are the very same, a bit disappointed in the B&O system in general, if you turn the bass up the door cards rattle too,

Yea the rear door mid range could with more volume, but at least they produce some music. The front door ones are woofers that only produce bass sounds. The c pillar ones are even worse. Surrounds. But in the driver's seat the music ain't bad having the 4 mid range on the dash supplemented by the door woofers

The rears have woofers in the doors and I assume tweeters but just sounds very tinny. I guess this is for a reason to give sound to the front balance and not sound like it’s coming from the back?

rear door tweeters are just above where your elbow would rest or just above the window switch. Then you have the c pillar ones which sound like a combo of the rear door mid-range and tweeter.

I was disappointed with the B&O in the 8Y the 8V was so much better - more cost cutting somewhere no doubt whilst increasing the price

I just can’t stand the rattles and buzzing from the door speakers. It does it at low ish volumes when people wre talking on the radio for example. So annoying!

Just say in the back and fiddled with the stereo. Definitely feels forward Balanced when it’s set at the middle which is normal balance. Is this just the b&o to make it driver focused as it’s more “hi fi” than the standard set up?? I assume the non b&o is the same volume front and back?

Im also not happy with 8y sportback with b&o 2024. I had the 2015 a3 8v a few years ago with b&o it was much better without rattle or any distursion wiht max bass and volume. I was so happy i choose again for b&o for 8y but its a big difference. I dont hear subwoofer at all or back speakers wile the balans is in the Middle. And focus is on all. Its too much front orientated. 8v has mid speskers in the door and cetre dashboard. 8y they move all mid 4x at the dashboard. 8v bass was mainky via subwoofer and 8y its more from front Doors and a bit from sub. The door trims cant handle the bass. We have a dutch company called vagcoding. They offer dsp optimalisation for 100€ for b&o i want try it. I put 1 liter water bottles in the door cupholders really tight. I forced the door cup holders and put the bottles in between to stop vibrations. But still im not happy with the low sound from back. It help to move the slider a bit to the back in the sound setting. So not in the leg area but on the back seating area
