Auto dip & HBA retro fit again... S1

Hi,

I have been around A1's S1's for some time... I still have an S1 2017. after years of what I should have added I realised the auto dip mirror and HBA would be nice.

Unfortunately it appears that the 2017 S1 does not have the cable hanging in the roof lining. Shame...:3sadwalk: I have the Light & rain sensor from factory so it should be a relatively easy one. I have partial use in one arm so I am now at the limit of what I can do. :help: I also have VCDS.

So I am looking for a recommendation of a retro fitter that is able to do this. I have called a few but they don't seem to have the knowledge and sounded like they have never done it... Any recomendations would be appreciated as we all know personal recommendations are far better than Google ;)
@NHN I have pinged you a WhatsApp but not sure if you still do this?

I bought an auto dimming mirror off eBay and had it retro fitted to my 64 plate S1, wasn't bothered about auto dim, guy who fitted said it an easy two wire install
 
Sorry I wrote it the wrong way, I wasn't bothered about high beam assist. The auto dim works great with just a power supply

Yeah they work but they're typically also wired into the CAN so they undim in certain circumstances such as engaging reverse etc :)

Are you still looking to do this?, I am going to look into this for a friends car.

Kufatec do two versions of the loom, one for just HBA and one for rain sensor/auto dimming/HBA.

The S1 has a rain sensor as standard but I am going to buy the latter loom and take the rain sensor wiring out if needed.

Found a post on the Audi Q3 owners site and the fitment seems the same.

Once I buy the cable it will let me access the fitting instructions.
