19" reps, 8j with 235/35 , also perfect fit with no spacers , and clear the 18z's , so anything is possible if you do the research.

These fitted perfectly too also 19" 8.5j with 235/35, and i kinda thought they suited the old bus really well, but i couldn't leave things alone and had to change them a few years later..lol

I had these on my mk3 golf vr6 but in 17 inch and I can tell you those where some good and strong wheels.
They sure are, well the OEM ones are , sadly Audi in there wisdom decided to skip doing them in 19" format, so went from 18" to 20" , what were they thinking.
I was lucky the ones i bought were ok and undamaged but so many others are.

But , and i know we keep banging on about it, you need to get the right offset to start with or as close to it, it makes things so much easier.

And just to throw a spanner in the works.
These were my second set back in 2015, 18" with 235/40 tyres, and, were stated to fit my car with the OEM caliper, did they hell, not even close and with spacers it was like a tractor.
Shame as they were nice but it was the dish depth that was the factor, so lesson number was in the future to stay away from deep or similar dished alloys..lol

Hi,my first post on this forum. I have a 2007 Audi s line special edition. I want to upgrade my wheels. However I have not been been able to find a straight answer. I have found some wheels I like, they are 254/35 19 with an et of 35. Will they fit? If not, what is the biggest ones I can get without modifying suspension?
Thanks
Hopefully you are a bit wiser on the subject and have a better idea on things, in this thread in a way you've had many years of experience and experimenting with wheel option from the members in just a few days so hopefully with your new-found knowledge you can avoid the pitfalls and disappointments that some other members have had during their B7 ownership. :thumbs up:

, in this thread in a way you've discovered that some members are complete wheel tarts and have nothing better with their time but to change wheels and tyres more often than us normal people change our underwear . :thumbs up:
Edited for accuracy :)

What front spoiler lip and sideskirtlips are those?
And do you have a pic of the front you can share?
sorry forgot to reply

Front is a TRC spoiler which is actually made for a B7 RS4 but I was determined to make it work with the front bumper so I fettled it :)

side skirts are Maxton, standard for B7 so straight fit

I have found the perfect wheels. 235/35 19 rotas (genuine) but the et is 43, what would I need to make them fit?

My Rotas are ET43 and fitted fine over the standard calipers without any spacers. Only needed 5mm to clear the 18z’s

As rob says , probably just a 5mm would suffice if you want to be sure , maybe just try them first .

Just looked back through some old pictures as I couldn’t remember what spacers I ended up with. Used some cheap ones to start with that were terrible. Found a company up north called PCD Parts, they made a 5mm spacer with spigot ring built in. Perfect fit for the Rota wheels

ET 43 is the factory setting of the 18 alloys etc so these rotors will be the same accept the rims will be 6mm wider on both inside and outside.
So add 6mm onto the outside edge and you end up with closer to ET37 from a poke standpoint, which is nice.

Jup saw those this morning too and they look decent for the asking price... always knock it down .a bit as you'll need to pay for.postage too unless you are going to go on a road trip

He said he was going to sell them for £500 today but the buyer didn’t realise they had been sprayed silver. He won’t post them and they are like over 3 hours away

Sometimes one has to just bite the bullet and do the drive if you want something that can’t found on your door steps.

Also I asked if they have an Audi stamp on the inside and he said they have been stamped ronal? But isn’t that a different type of wheel?

If in doubt ask him for the part number stamped in the inner hub face, if they are genuine they will have that part number , offset and 8.5j stamp.

I know you said wheels were a personal thing but if it was you, would you consider buying these rotas if you knew they had been sprayed all silver?

I wouldn't, the whole thing with these wheels is the state the original finish is in... once it has been resprayed in one colour it's messed up and probably hiding more damage than you'd think. The oem finish is diamond cut and that is why they are worth 600 with good used premium tires. Once that diamond cut finish is gone the worth of that set with premium tires has fallen to half the price.

It is why I said do a good search on FB marketplace as there are perfect looking sets without tires on there. You'll just have to find tires for them.

If they are genuine, you want to be seeing something like this…

Depends if you can live with them being silver. If not, factor in more money for refurbishment. You could always call a few local wheel referb companies to get some quotes

But as I said before because they are painted over the diamond cutting 9 out of 10 times the damage has been filled up with metal putty or worse just body filler, if you'd want them refurbished with the diamond cutting restored, they might need to shave that much off the wheel it'll be weaker than it was....

That is why I said the way they are now you are paying for the tires only.. not the wheels aka half the asking price... you might want to chuck on an extra 50 for the wheels but again: you have no clue of how bad the damage actually is.

It would be different if they didn't touch them at all or had them polished to a high shine.. someone living a few blocks away from me has done that to his wheels and that looks amazingly good but you kinda can't see the wheel details from a distance because of the high shine. Other than that they look really good but his car is black and is a s3 saloon.
