Hi, ive got a 2015 8V 2.0TDI 148. I had my heater matrix replaced around 2k miles ago and water pump done about 11k miles ago but since I had my matrix replaced, I keep hearing water whooshing behind the dash as well as coolant level low warning on the dash which almost makes me have a panic attack every time.

The coolant level is always fine but I am 99.99% sure there is an air lock in the matrix. I have tried the standard run the engine with the cap off, heaters on full and squeezing the pipes that go into the matrix. Bubbles do come through occasionally. Having the coolant replaced with a vacuum isn’t an option at the moment unfortunately as I’ve just been made redundant.

Is there any other way of bleeding it or do I just need to run it for longer and squeeze some more pipes (lol).

heating on full blast, park the car with the front higher than the rear, open expansion bottle and let it run for about 45min to an hour. any air should find it's way out that way
