Interchangeable subframes?

I am currently trying to keep my dad’s old B6 Saloon on the road. It’s in desperate need of a replacement front subframe but having no luck finding one.

Are the saloon and avant subframes interchangeable? It’s a 6 speed manual 1.8 so I take it I’d need the gearbox mount to be from a 6 speed manual as well?
