Anyone used one of these cheap android or iOS CarPlay units sold on AliExpress etc ? Car already has wired CarPlay . They appear to show a touch screen to control them but not sure if the standard audio MMI control dial will suffice ? Any ideas ?

I got one from eBay.
Switches between touch screen for any android application. I.e Google maps, Waze, Spotify, etc.
When using the original Audi MMI menu it reverts back to the centre dial and control buttons surrounding it.
I am seeing this as the most sold 'brand' on Ali Express for the A3 8V and it's significantly cheaper than 'OEM' units. The reviews suggest the units perform without any lags. How are you finding it?
I'm planning on getting the just the unit which plugs into the MMI without the screen.
No lag with it, start up is slower than the original MMI if going straight in android.
