ESP - Recalibration

Hi all,

I have had the Clock Spring on my daughters 2012 A1 repaired. I was hoping that repairing the part rather than replacing it would mean that I had the Airbag light to clear and not have to have the steering re-calibrated. However the ESP light is permanently on.

My question, can only Audi re-calibrate the steering or would a good auto electrician be able to take this on?

Someone with Audi tech knowledge is best, auto sparks aren't widely aware of such systems.

Personally I would of replaced the part.

Thanks for your reply. I hear you about a replacement part. As I said I did because I thought that we wouldn't need to recalibrate the steering and as my daughter is an early years teachers she has very little money.
