Interesting, yes the EV's are very heavy of course, plus do have an appetite for tyres. The car itself was just so heavy, steering into roundabouts I felt the mass of the car pull me over to one side, this made the driving experience hard work. The car, due to it's weight felt skittish on the road too. Heaven knows how the tyres were coping, I looked up the weight and it was 2.2t. My 2008 A6 weighs about 1.7t so noticeably different. The Etron just couldn't cope with the weight and I felt like I was fighting the wheel.
The other thing I noticed was the amount I had to press the brake pedal to stop the thing, after gettign out of my A6 it was noticeably more pressure that I needed to use to stop it, I guess at 2.2t it took some stopping.
I was so intrigued by the car I actually ran some numbers based on efficiency when I got back to the office. The Etron worked out at 8p per mile the A6 13p per mile.
The issue final issue is the fact it cost 51k new, but that's a whole other discussion.
Maybe the brakes are like a regen braking system, the Skoda Enyaq has it and people aren't too keen on the pedal feel.
