So I’ve been having an issue with my A3 2.0 TDI (CUNA) loosing coolant on a regular basis and ,after an inspection from a local specialist, they have informed me that the likely culprit is the Charge Air Cooler since they found a whole load of coolant around its sensor. Apparently it’s also a common issue with these cars.
They have given me the replacement part number “04L129711AC” but searching around the internet and eBay, it seems that charge coolers with different part numbers, such as “04L129766**” and are much cheaper and easier to find.
Are these charge coolers interchangeable or are they specific to each different engine?
