Hello, I am planning to put 312mm front brakes on my A3 8l 1.8t, I want to upgrade rear brakes aswell, it has 235mm non vented discs, 256mm vented would be great, I know for a fact that I will need bigger brake calipers, my question is it even possibe to upgrade the rear brakes? I know for a fact that front brakes have removeable caliper mounts, what about the rear?

Regarding the Audi A3 8L 1.8T, the rear brake upgrade might be possible, but it could involve more than just swapping discs and calipers.

The rear brakes on the A3 8L might not have easily removable caliper mounts like the front brakes. The rear brake upgrade might involve changing the entire rear brake assembly, including the caliper brackets, calipers, discs, and potentially other components like the brake lines and master cylinder to maintain proper brake balance.

Unlike the front brakes, the rear brakes on the A3 8L typically have integrated caliper mounts as part of the rear wheel hub assembly. This means that upgrading the rear brakes may involve replacing the entire rear hub assembly to accommodate larger calipers.
