Turning the dash scales/needle lights on and off via VCDS

In my Audi A4 B8, the needles in the dash illuminate fine with the lights off, but the scales behind the needles can hardly be seen.
Everything all looks ok when the lights are switched on, but I don't want to drive with the lights on during the day.

Has anyone been able to turn the scales on using VCDS?

I believe the options in VCDS are:-

17-Instruments:
Mode 0: Nothing lit until ext. light on
Mode 1: Pointers lit all the time
Mode 2: Scales lit all the time OR THIS IS ONE
Mode 3: Pointers and Scales lit all the time THIS IS WHAT I WANT

They deliberately get dimmer as the external light drops do thst the driver knows to turn on the headlights. I never had an issue. Are you using the auto setting or doing it manually to stop the lights coming on?

I want the scale lights to be on all the time.
Was wondering if anyone had been able to achieve this using VCDS, as I can't use mine at the moment due to technical issues with the laptop.

Update:
I went into 17-Instruments
Under Adaptations, there are no options for needles and scales.

However, if I go to Long Coding, there are options for changing the lighting of needles and scales. The current long code begins with 2F which is Illumination: Needles and Scales ON, which is what I want, but on the dash only the Needles are lit and the Scales are not lit.

Does anyone else get this, any ideas?
