I am new here and perhaps depending on what I choose, I might become a regular here
I am currently regular over on some MB groups where I post about my 2010 E350 and 2004 SL500.
This post is about the possibility of switching to a 2012 D4 A8 3.0 TDI Quattro from my E350.
The E350 was cheap as I bought it with 190k miles and put 40k on it in the last 5 years. It is at the stage where it needs new rings and seals as it burns quite a bit of oil.. and god only knows what else I might find when I open it up.
A potential opportunity to acquire the above model has come my way and i'm wondering if it would be more trouble than it's worth. I would get it cheap.
What's the story with the commentary around the web of these not being able to get past 200k miles?
I would like to get this to 300BHP and also gut the DPF and blank the EGR.
Thoughts?
