Hello again everyone! I’m back in the Quattro world after 10 years. Sold my a3 in 2012 and have just bought an a4 avant 1.9tdi Quattro as a run around. I love it already!
As the title suggests I’m blowing a bit of smoke on start up from the cat (I think) and on high revs. Mechanic friend has said only replace it with a genuine part. He may be right I don’t know. It’s got me thinking tho and this is where I’d love some advice.
Do I replace with a genuine part or go down the decat, ss exhaust and egr delete route? Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated.
