Hello everyone

I'm going to have a look at a new A1 TFSI 30. Possibly an S-line in trendy Chronos grey. :friendly wink: The press write ups have been generally good and this recent version seems to have a bit more space. I haven't had a modern car with a 1.0 litre engine before and wouldn't mind a bit of advice on what it is like to drive, whether it has any known snags and whether it is chain or belt driven.

I'm retired, I don't need lots of space for children and babies these days :smile new: and only do around 6,000 miles pa.

Thanks in advance for any helpful tips & guidance.

Hello. I have the A1 30 in Blue. Also retired and do similar millage. Had it over 1 year now and I am happy with it. good on petrol. 410 miles on full 40 ltr tank. I also do the 2 year Audi service plan that cost me £16.87 per month. which covers my service. I think is belt driven ? If I can be of any more help, give me a shout. I use a gadget called car linkit which plugs into one of the USB sockets cost me aprox £50 amazon. Which connects your mobile phone to the MMI, That way you can use google maps from your phone as your sat nav, I think this is a good idea

Hello - Sorry I didn't notice your reply earlier :redface new: Picked up car 1 March 2024. I've found it great. After around 3,000 miles the engine loosened up and on a motorway run it gets over 60 MPG and I can do 250 mile return journey to my daughter, on half a tank. Performance is also respectable. I found out the car is belt driven but a year or so back Audi UK extended the service interval for belts (to align with Europe) to 140,000
