Hi Everyone,

Just wondering, could someone tell me if when they put there bluefin on there 2.0 TDI Sport if they plugged it in and updated it there and then or did it send it off and have to wait?

Am trying to work out if my car has been chipped, as only bought it wed from a private dealer and has been a company car so don't expect it to have been chipped.

Should it have updated it and not sent it off???? does this give me a clue it's been modified already..??

Cheers for any help...

Bluefin typically has a Diagnosis device sent with it which lets you switch between the two different remaps.

Although as far as I know you can visit a Bluefin dealer and they can do it without giving you a device.

Why would you suspect it to have Bluefin and not another? I guess you could phone them and see if they have records of the car, probably give the registration to see if they have it on record. Best place to start. Or pop them a visit and they can prob pull the map off, if its stock their should only be the one map and they should be able to see that its the stock one.

Hope that helps.

The procedure with Bluefin is:
  • They send you a handset
  • Plug handset into car and download software onto it
  • Plug handset into PC and send current software to Superchips
  • Superchips send you an email telling you where to download the modded software
  • Plug handset into car and upload new software
