Hi,

been having an issue with the MMI for a couple of days now. After a few minutes use, when trying the adjust the volume instead of the volume level bar being displayed on the MMI, I get a greyed out bar, and the words “volume unavailable“. The volume control actually still allows me to decrease the volume, but not increase it. The same thing happens with both the centre console and steering wheel dials.

Before anyone suggests the “menu button, centre know and top right button reset”, I have tried this each time - it works, but the problem just returns after a few minutes. I’ve checked the VCDS for fault codes, with nothing showing up, the battery hasn’t gone flat or low recently (and it’s a good healthy battery), and I’ve not had any other work/mods done to the car/MMI recently.

Anybody else had this issue or can offer any advise?

Thanks in advance!

Rob.

Standard, Audi or B&O sound system?
Standard factory Audi system as far as I’m aware. Today I’ve not had the volume issue, but it has been shutting itself off and closing the screen down every now and again, also a couple of times I t bought I had poor reception on the radio, so tried to change to another station - the MMI displayed the new station, but it was still on the original one! I’m assuming these are all related somehow, but it’s clearly not happy!

Looking forward to meeting you and your vehicle on Wednesday :)
