Hey,

Wanted to know if anyone knows the difference between 059130106K and 059130106J? are these pumps compatible to swap? Is it just the standard immo that needs to be coded? or more?

Have a bad injector pump so swapping it out. Some have said to me yes it's comparable and some have said no I need the exact code. So any advice would be appreciated.

Car is a Audi A4 B7 2.5 TDI 120kW BDG

Thanks

well both are right yes they will deliver the same amount of fuel and the ecu setting are the same, but the VP44 carries the ECU to the car... and this is where the problem actually is... there aren't much places that will flash your ecu settings over the right way if you go for a pump with a different part number... But it can be done providing the right flashing tool is used (to be exact they'll need to clone the ECU from your old pump to your replacement one, some diesel specialists like DieselBob offer this service and do a good job at it)

Hey cool thanks. Managed to get the exact same code so all good. But have a issue with timing adjustment. Before I took the old one off put car into TDC, locked old vp44, pulled it off, locked new vp44 and installed, but timing is too advanced. So I want to re calibrate timing with DTI gauge but the number it should be set to is not stamped on the new vp44 neither the old, the old one all the number have been filed off.

Would you have any idea what the DTI should be set to? Or where I could find out what it should be?

I've attached a photo of the ID plate on the new vp44

Sorry I have no clue, the last time I messed with one of these pumps was more than a decade ago.. I suggest you try and find more documentation from Bosh or Audi.
