So, as purchased, my car has DGA wind deflector trims fitted. Problem is that the trims obstruct a smooth opening and closing of windows.
With manual assistance, can lower both windows on the motors, but this is neither convenient, nor is it going to prolong the motor lifter life.
Anyone with/had similar issues?
Ideally, I would like to free up the current arrangement, but if that is not possible, will remove the DGA trims. Plenty of info. out there on installation but not much that I could find on DGA deflector removal.
Any assistance much appreciated.

They possible have clips somewhere in the window groove at the top of the door but the outer bits tend to have 3M tape - so hair dryer to gently heat and pull them away from the paint and then you should be able to pull down and remove. Can't think it'd be anything different to this, of course if you don't want to do anything else with them you can get a bit brutal in removal :)

Thanks, Phazer, yet again and apologies for the delay in responding. That issue has been resolved, kept the DGA after modification, as suggested and all is now well.

Changed the front shock mounts, as mentioned in an earlier post. This has sharpened up things but the main noise source was still there. Further testing seems to point to engine gearbox mounts, so are booked in for this work in a few weeks time. Thinking positively, namely that the next workshop visit will resolve my noise issues, the only aspect of the car that I would like improved is the steering, thus, after searching about, found information on this matter in earlier posts on this forum. Have bought a VCDS scanner with the intention of following the steering changes suggested in those earlier posts.

Truthfully I know very little about relative car steering qualities, the poster referring to "Lotus Elise" steering as a decent reference point. Had a series of Porsche cars before the S1, the last of these being a good sharp Boxster S. If the S1 steering can reach anything like that, in terms of responsiveness and "feel", I would be very pleased, but any improvement will be welcome.

What I did know a bit about was the relative suspension values of classic bikes from the 1970's: Moto Guzzi Le Mans, Laverda Jotas, Ducati bevel drive twins, BMW R90S and so on. Not allowed to ride any more (family, not health), thus the S1.

I digress, but again, thanks Phazer, and the forum for the previously mention "steering" information. I
