Retrofit reverse camera

Afternoon,

So today I have fitted a genuine reverse camera by following the pdf guide that I found on the forum all went well, now I have access to obdeleven and I have activated anything I can see relating to reverse camera and still nothing.

Could anyone advise what I need to do and if it's possible with obdeleven ?

I'm not super familiar with it, but maybe there's a specific module you need to access to fully activate the camera.

more then one module needs coding depending on the type of camera installed

Camera is all plugged in but doesn’t show up on screen only when in reverse only works when you put in reverse and reset the MMi screen

just found out it’s an Ali express camera

Code vps to activate and vps bus to terminal 15 still don’t work

Need to change coding in 10, 19 and 6C also, but looking at the part number it’s incorrect for the car. Could be that the camera has been flashed to work on an a3 tho. Need to visit a specialist.

Aliexpress stuff is hit and miss. Some bits work great, other bits don't at all.

If you've checked all the wiring is correct and coding is correct, you'll have to get another camera.
