Hello everyone.

I have a new S4 Avant on order. Was due Jul 23 but pushed back to Nov-23 but that's another story. Can anyone recommend cheaper insurers ? My partner is now saying we may have to cancel the order if we can't get a reasonable rate?

I have mine insured with Audi Finance. I’ve just renewed because I couldn’t find anyone cheaper.

A difficult question to answer as criteria such as age, vehicle insurance group, no claim discount, post code where car is held, garaged etc etc etc.

Assume you have tried the usual comparison sites, direct line, Aviva, LV, admiral etc etc. pushing up the excess amount you are prepared to pay, but equally if the insurance amount is causing affordability concerns, maybe a less powerful vehicle is the answer

Thanks. I pay £550 a year for my Audi Q5 so the S4 is coming out at about £200 more a year so not terrible. I think hubby was worried as he heard about a friend that was quoted 4k for a top end Range Rover recently. I will continue to shop around, we are both over 40 so have that in our favour. Was just curious who other people used

Given delivery is still 6 months away any quotes you currently get would be indicative only and could change significantly up or down by November. Per above too many variables + thats what the comparison sites are designed to do for you.

£4k to insure a top end Range Rover looks pretty reasonable given they start at £125k and how frequently they are stolen.

Another vote for Audi Insurance (sorry AIB, I didn't try you when I had to re-insure last month).
When I got my new SQ5 last year, I had quotes from the usual suspects of between £1200 and £1400 plus tracker (£500) for myself, wife and 26 year old daughter, but Audi came in at £870 and no tracker required. This year it was £740, so didn't bother looking around.

Hi.
Please feel free to give us a try for insurance if you haven't done so already.
Regards,
Dan.
