Just in case anyone has been thinking about this as well.
I’ve been getting quite a bit of DSG oil spraying back out of the OEM breather and it was making a mess under the hood.
Figured it was time to upgrade DSG breathers. As nice as they are, I wasn’t going to buy the Iroz breather, I think it’s a ridiculous amount of money, so I found a used aftermarket 034 breather for a fraction of the cost.
Top bracket fits fine but the bottom bracket needs to be slightly longer and angled a bit more towards the front of the car on the 8Y.
No biggie, I managed to find a small bracket I had laying around and joined the two. I’m sure there are other options and to be fair that one bracket alone would do a pretty good job in a pinch.
