Any Performance mods worth doing for a 1.6L A3?

Hi there,

Been reading through a couple of threads and found it is not worth turbocharging a 1.6L since the gains are not worth the price.

I am looking to drive this 8P into the ground, so thought to make it as good as it can be. So are there any other mods possible to do, for example, I heard an ECO Remap/ Stage 1 will help with performance and efficiency.

Is this worth doing? Or is there anything else worth doing if at all?

Yeah you'd be spending good money for next to no improvement on a 1.6 N/A. You could get bolt on breather mods £600-£1000? and spend £300+ on a good remap for maybe 10-20hp?

For the money it'd cost and barely any gains, you'd be better off just buying a 1.8t engine off ebay and doing a conversion.
