I have changed coolant pump B and the relay under the dashboard (I think it’s the right one, vague information on the net for relays under the dash so if anyone could tell me to make sure it’s correct) the engine management light is still coming on for it after removing the fault code.
I know the car had a remap as some point in its life so wondering if this could be the problem? I bought the car with the light on as I took my code reader and thought it would be an easy fix as this was the only problem.
I’m at a loss as to what else it could be without forking out and having to take it Audi.
TIA!

could be any of the 4 suggestions it gives you, you will need to take it to a mechanic to a) test the pump itself and b) the wiring to and from it

I have already changed the pump for a new one and also the relay as I stated above.. I drove it for two days fine before the eml came back on again.

I read something about coolant pump B having something to do with the EGR? Which made me think it could be the remap If this is true as I don’t even know if mine still has it and that could be causing it to come back on.

I’m used to fixing 90’s crusty jap cars, this is my first ‘modern’ diesel car so I’m at a bit of a loss with it lol. I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty to fix it… hence posting for the know how/locations if someone has had the same problem or just knows in general..

Sorry I missed that, I would still get the wiring checked as it could have bad continuity.

You can get access to Audi Erwin for wiring diagrams and then trace the pump back to wherever it is fed from, the ecu no doubt.

If you have doubts over the worthiness of the software then a flash back to standard software is your first go to. If someone has made a hash job of removing whatever system or tried to delete a code, then you will be going round in circles.
