Hi all,

PD170 BMN 07plate, getting poor economy.

VCDS:
No fault codes

for some reason egr specified and egr actual are exactly the same when I log through the gears up to 4k revs (engine warm). Starting at 450ish to 1050 during load. Has the MAF failed? Why would it not throw a code? I thought it defaulted to 500ish? Or is something else going on?

Fuel temp sensor wont match coolant. Sits around 75C after 20mins driving. Coolant sensor reaches 90C (max 94C but does attempt to stay at 90C)

cleaned egr last night, as the duty stays 0% during idle and acceleration. Thought the ECU would want it closed at idle? As in 100%.

anyway. All seems very weird. Car drives ok. Turbo does pull till 3k in first gear, then 2.5krevs in all other gears. Some turbo whistle in 1st and 2nd but ha shad brand new turbo this year so thought some low level whistle is ok?

please help

Coolant if it's not holding 90 when warmed up, replace the stat only use genuine too. This will affect the mpg.

It pretty much holds 90, when it reaches 94 it comes back down, it holds 90 when idle. Its the fuel temp reading maxing out at 75c that concerns me and the egr/maf actual and spec being identical?

See attached images? They are slightly different then match? How is this possible? Either the actual is set by ecu default or ecu speced is showing actual?

seems at low revs is slightly different. Then as revs climb they match exactly. This cant be normal?

As your showing readings from Vcd's and graphs maybe putting ur post in the Vcd's section might get better results .
