First time posting so hoping I've managed to select the correct place. Anyway, my 2.0 TDI has, for the past few weeks, had the MIL (check engine) light on and when scanned with VCDS showed two faults. 7859 - Intake Manifold Flap Position Sensor (Bank 1) and 4986 - Cylinder 3 Glow Plug Circuit (Q12). I've not looked further into the glow plug problem but I've been bangning my head in the wall for a while trying to figure out the issue with the intake manifold. From what I've read on many other posts the issues has gone away with a simple replacement of the intake manifold together with the V175 motor that drives the flaps. So I did the replacement but the fault is still showing up. If I clear the DTCs and exits the window and then enters it again the error is still there so it gets triggered straight away. From what I could see from my log (attached, had to rename from .csv to .txt to allow upload) there is no activation of the flaps even in high revs, now this might be because the intake manifold is marked as having an issue in the ECU.
From what I've read on other posts the issue has been that the intake manifold has become worn and goes past the intended stops and therefore the ECU throws and error but my values has always been between 0 and 100%. I replaced the intake manifold and that didn't work, didn't change the values ("V Sw Vlv r Drft Opn mp" and "V Sw Vlv r Drft Clsd mp") either. I had a look at the wiring diagram in ELSA (attached) and from what I can see there should be ground at pin 4 and that was confirmed but I have about 4.3V on all other lines and that seems reasonable for G336 (potentiometer) but 4.3V seems way to low to actuate the motor that drives the flaps. I have no idea what voltages should be in this connector. When turning the ignition on there is no movement of the motor.
