SQ5 Swapping tyres -TPMS?

If you swap your wheels, what do you do about the TPMS valves?
Can you disable it if you don’t switch them, as think that will add a lot of cost to switch them…?

I thought the TPMS on Audis worked on measuring wheel rotation rather than through special tyre valves. I’ve just changed my wheels and the old and new wheels use standard valves.

Yep, I’ve read the manual lol, and it’s just that, swap the wheels over, restore the pressures on next drive in the mmi, job done

Depends if it’s indirect (measures wheel circumference) or Direct where it uses sensors in the valves.

It’s indirect using the abs sensors or something…so no need to change any valves over

With the greatest respect: maybe better to "swap the wheels over, restore the pressures BEFORE THE next drive in the mmi." Otherwise you'll most likely get an ALARM! And then re-check/adjust tyre-pressures AFTER the run, taking into account tyre temperature - best done COLD of course.

That’s what I meant, you can’t reset it when driving anyway and have to be parked up
