Hi mate, have you found a resolution to the gear being stuck for a few seconds? It’s happening to me after the 34L4 update I had a few weeks ago.

Sadly no. I think only resolution is to go with custom TCU software as others has said. I think im going TVS.

Hi, have you find a fix for the gear holding 1st and 2nd for a few seconds after the 34L4 recall update?

I didn't and I've sold the S3 now. It only did it occasionally on my car and it wasn't frequent enough for me to do anything about it

Thought I'd chip in here, my 2016 facelift had the recall in 2022 with the previous owner, no idea if it resulted in a new gearbox etc, but I noticed this holding of gears when I got the car in December.

Since then it's had Revo ECU and DSG and it still holds the revs occasionally, so a map isn't always the solution and I think we are stuck with it

But, the DSG map has helped the 2-3 hard shift as the logic seems to hold past this all the time, so that's a positive.
