Hey. Audi A3 fuel door stuck, usually opens when you click ‘unlock’ on the key.

Tried the emergency red cord in the boot, but still no luck.

any help without having to break it would be useful please?
thanks in advance

I had the motor fail on my 2007 A4, but was able to release it using the cable pull. What happens when you try the cable?

Which year?
Solenoid is probably goosed if red cable isn't moving it, you'll have to unbolt it from the inside of the boot to release without breaking the flap.

I had this with my a6 and car had little fuel left and I was miles from any dealer. They told me to just force it open but ended up getting the AA guy to do it. The pin that holds it shut isn’t that strong so will snap if pressure is applied. It seems a common problem as the dealer had stock of the parts to sort it next day.

It's really your only option to try without risking damage.
