Hi, new guy here, in light of a recent decision to try and do as much of a maintenance on my Audi as possible, I've decided to become a member of this forum in order to be able to seek for advice and to learn how to properly maintain my car. I drive A4 B8 Avant 2.0 TDI (143 PS) MY2009.
Recently, MIL appeared on my dash with P2015 error message and since a service interval of 15,000 km was coming up I took it to a local non audi shop. Long story short, the car stayed with them for a couple of days, they kept telling me they are really busy and haven't been able to take a look at my car.
After a couple of days I got a call the car is finished, but once I get there to pick up my car they only changed oil, filters etc., in regards with P2015 error they tell me I would need a new intake manifold and that they would contact me in a day or two with exact prices etc. Also, they told me my intake flap is stuck in open position. Well, they didn't call, and after a couple of dead end calls to them, I gave up and decided to have a look at it myself.
I got my hands on VCDS (exact error code can be found below), so first I order a bracket as seen on dieselgeek, but then I noticed oil leak from what appears to be intake manifold, which doesn't make any sense, so now I'm posting here, maybe you guys will have some ideas as to what might be happening there.
Engine pictures are uploaded on imgur, here:
One more thing, on VCDS I see "Intake manifold Runner Control " on 100%, is this the intake flap shop told me is stuck open?
Thanks guys, I would really appreciate any response on this topic.
