Hey everyone, new to the forum and new to audis. I've had a couple of golfs before but this is my first time venturing into performance upgrades for a car. Atm my car is a bog standard 1.8 tfsi S line. I plan to go to stage 1 Remap with it and I've been advised ball park figure of about 230 bhp, which is all I want. Any tips or advice for me??? First thing I want to tackle are the brakes and want to upgrade them, I was looking at getting bigger discs, any ideas how much bigger I can go and if I have to get bigger calipers and carriers which ones are best???? Its only a daily driver but live and work on an airfield so can kick it about a little bit from time to time :)

Naturally 345mm S3/3.2 calipers would be a fair upgrade, I've run rs3 & run S3/3.2 atm, stop well.

I may have some 345mm calipers available at some point.

Thank you very much for your help, tbh I'd be looking at getting new for the car so thanks anyway, but just looking for the guidance and experience from people that have been there done it and know what works :) so if I was to go 345mm discs, I'm assuming I would need carriers to go with, would I also need bigger carriers for the calipers or would my standard ones fit, I also want to upgrade to stainless steel braided hoses, would I need s3 ones or would the normal ones fit to???
Regards,

Joshua Morris

Buying these new from audi would be very expensive tbh & yes carriers are required, but can be bought of course.

I'd be looking at buying from ebay/online but thabk you, I don't suppose you have any part bumbers for the parts I need???
Thanks for all your help.

Josh

I’d rather buy 2nd had oem off a trusted person like @NHN than new copies off eBay. False economy.
