RS3 v Tesla 3 Performance

Can charge it up at my unit mate.

Zero cost.

So even more of a saving. Will be handy when the Tesla Power walls or competitors are more widely (cheaper!) available in the UK, can then charge them up with solar, and run car and house off it (we have quite a few power outages in our village!)

Will definitely get Mrs a lekkie in 2 years time when her Abarth goes back

That's cool then - gonna need to keep that car charged up for all those launches you'll be doing :)
I'm not going to tell him where I live, I think he'll be going out RS3 hunting

On the elec thing I had a very interesting Traffic Light GP with a Polestar 2, there was two sets of lights about 300M apart, I didnt even know what the f thing was until it shot off from the first set, but Karma interveened and the second set of lights stopped him :)

So, I was ready in my Golf 7.5R (DSG and a mild 350/360hp map) I got the jump and he was slowly going backwards down the side of my car, but everytime (twice) my car changed gear he jumped about 4-5foot back up level with say the front passenger window before slowly going backwards to the rear wheel area and then jumping back on the next gear change, I would have been had good time if my Golf was a manual transmission

Never feel the need to do that really......

Too many horror stories of Audi's etc racing off at the lights, if someone steps out it's game over.

Also depends which Polestar it was, there are 2 flavours.

The fast one is 4.7 secs

Model 3 P is 3.1 secs

He will soon get bored of the neck snapper lithium party trick and then reality will set in with that bar of soap exterior and minimal interior ;)

For me those Volvo's, sorry I mean Polestar's, are just too old fashioned and boxy looking - I'd have the Tesla any day over one of those things.

I did look at the performance and the hp etc at the time, it must have been the 4.7seconds one.

Isn't the Model 3P at 3.1 sec with the 1 foot roll out as Tesla call it?

You'd need a lot of Solar panels to supply a 3 phase fast charger mate average solar panel used on domestic installs is only capable producing 200 watts per hour weather dependant then add in the cost of the install

Hmm that looks decent doesn't it ... & almost makes the interior as dark as the 8y lol :tearsofjoy:
Just needs

A speedo in the correct place

And some teak engine sounds

And some nice looks

Decebt seats. The ones in the model s p100d I test drove were absolutely awful and terrible for spirited driving, as for driving it around a track forget it as the seats are so unsupportive first corner you'll be in the passenger footwell

My order is up for sale, already have an interested party to buy it when it turns up.

Tesla still 1st choice, I’ve even found a couple of owners on the Tesla Forum who made the change from an RS3, both wouldn’t go back.

Not everyone’s cup of tea, but the same can be said about a lot of cars.

I’ve got a delivery date through today, first two weeks of March so between ordering and collecting it’ll be little over a month and a half. Trying to get a charger installed is proving to be a pain in the **** though
