Hello 8p owners, would love some help in regards to head units and adapters.

Above is my current headunit, in my 09 s3. I have to switch it to the head unit pictured below.

Just wondering what I need, the guy that sold me it recommended some adapter kit. Just wondering if it’s really needed… (my system is a Bose and so was the one it come out of)

I had similar head unit in my 8p it was plug and play none bose with sub in boot

I went from concert to mk2 RNSE and all I had to do was fit a gps antennae on top of the glovebox and rewire the Bose pin. The rest of the cabling was plug and play from memory (it was nearly 10 years ago now). The radio reception was never as good as before as I didn't fit the diversity antennas but I don't really listen to the radio so it never bothered me.
 
Needs coding ideally, wiring changes needed, gps fitted, radio antenna system upgraded to remove the degraded reception.
