Afternoon Folks,
When attempting to find if I could enable the ADS option via my carista app, I am now finding I have a recurring fault code, 00471 'Controller for EGD electronically regulated absorption (J250)'.
As far as I am aware I don't have electronically adjustable suspension on my car or engines modes (I don't have the buttons) hence I was curious if I could enable it, the fault continues to recur after I reset it, does anybody have any ideas?
Cheers,

It's worth posting how you fixed this so that others with the same problem can learn from your experience.

Fair point, see as follows.
Following the carista instructions, all ADS options are enabled via the carista, you then need to alter 2 options in the green menu, these both come back to the ADS being referred to as 'charisma' in the green menu.
Following the fault codes I then reversed the 2 options in the green menu as well as disabling all ADS options in the carista app, after resetting the fault codes again, they did not return, seems simple but you have to disable all options you originally enabled otherwise you will get a fault code.

Having this exact problem mate do you know what the options in the green menu that you had to change were? And is there a specific order you need to do this in? Tia

Hi folks I've got a 2013 Q5 tdci and today I seem to have caused the same problem but unfortunately I don't know how to rectify this and it's now showing that I have a headlight range issue but when I go on Topdon scanner it says adaptive suspension problem but my car doesn't have this so I need to know how to turn this off if anyone has any ideas.
Many thanks Dan, a first time poster.

You've posted in the A4 B8 forum. Your Q5 may or may not have adaptive suspension (normally a build code of 1BL) in the extras - see build sticker in the log-book or boot recess. Suspect this is headlight range controller. Usually linked to suspension rear and front on passenger side. Possibly one of the suspension headlight levelling modules is broken. Easy so spot - it connects to suspension and looks like this. Again - just making a guess. https://www.lllparts.co.uk/product/8R0941285G/audi-8r0941285g-level-sensor

Thanks for the reply and I was only on this forum as I was searching the fault that mine had, it's definitely something that I have activated in the hidden menu, all to do with electronic damping through ADS which mine doesn't have as the suspension and headlight leveling is done through the same control module. But on this Topdon Artidiag pro it doesn't give me the option to just switch it off and I can't for the life if me remember what I activated.
Cheers for the reply though, I will check those parts to be safe.
