Just ordered

Resurrecting an old thread and after and absence for some time.

After 3.5 years and 31000 miles the A6 is going.

In the time that we’ve had it all it’s cost, other than fuel is a pair of tyres on the front, a brake fluid change and some wiper blades all round.

I’ve also had 3 warranty claims. One for an a/c pressure sensor, the second for the boot seal and the 3rd for the boot release mechanism.

Other than the usual mmi gremlins and creaky dash the car has been faultless. Lately I’d say the gearbox it not as smooth as it once was. Averaged 44mpg since I picked it up and is getting better.

I was trying to get into a new TFSIe or 45 TFSI but getting hard to get. Plus the increase in APR was putting me off (we were on 2.78%)

However, dealers are struggling to sell at the moment and I managed to get a new A5 tfsi avant edition 1 in glacier white with 10k off, sound and vision/ service plan and ceramic coating thrown in. Came out at just over what I’m paying now.

Time will tell if I like it as much as the A6. I hope haven’t made a mistake!
