Looking for some help new battery fitted, garage tried to code battery (failed) now lights stuck on, garage saying nothing to do with them.
Fitted a new battery to a friends 2009 Q5 Tdi Quattro told her it had to be coded, her local garage said they could do it, she took the car there she said first diagnostic machine didn't work so they got another one plugged it in went through a few screens then told her the car didn't need the battery coded. On returning home turned car off opened the door and the alarm for the lights came on, she then noticed all the lights were on key out of ignition lights switch in off position but all lights on.
She managed to get the headlamps turned off by turning off DRL lights and all light options off on the centre screen!?, she now has the side lights permanently on with no way to turn them off apart from disconnecting the battery.
Any help would be appreciated,
