Pioneer head unit fitting woes

Hi all having trouble getting my A3 59 s line with bose to play sound or steering wheel control, no pioneer manual (second hand off eBay) and I am told I have all the correct cables harness etc to get this working , the seller for the harness etc has said I need to connect the loose blue cable so it will power up amp . Google is not my friend no help at all Unless I’m searching wrong info. Dab and Fm both tuning in ImageImageImageImage
 
Thanks for replying I’m using iPhone and possibly I didn’t see the search function . This kit in photo is the one I have been told works with my car I’m not totally convinced it is

I've recently installed a Pioneer double din DAB in my 2011 A3 Sportback. Non-Bose so yours will be different.
However, I did not use the RCA (phono plugs) on the new head-unit.
Initially I had problems with the rear speakers not working, because I had the wrong cable.
I ended up spending £80 on interface cables, including the one for the steering wheel controls. We over my budget for cables !

This is what I used

1 x Universal patch lead for 49 series Interface - (49-025) £9.90 (each)
1 x Audi Quadlock steering wheel control interface and radio adapter cable - (49-AUD-02) £59.99 (each)

Thanks guys for the help but do I need to connect the blue wire from the harness into the head unit?

Yes. There will be a cable coming g out of the back of the headunit (usually blue) that gives out power and you need to connect that blue cable to it. If the cables from the headunit aren’t labelled then you would need a multimeter to find which cable it is.
If that doesn’t work then you have the wrong harness for your car as the harnesses are different for Bose and non Bose.

Thanks for that and no wires coming from head unit as it was off eBay and came as it was . The seller said it was correct lead but I’m not convinced

Chances are your rear amp is not powered up then - incorrect harness.
 
After a bit of research off the sellers website I think I may have the correct kit . Tell me what you think guys

Well I got it fired up and connected the blue/white wire from the radio antenna and the loose blue from the harness and it worked Sound from front and rear but sadly the dab could only find two stations and the power was dropping off every few minutes , the mirror link wouldn’t connect through usb CarPlay on phone didn’t recognise car even with Bluetooth connected so it’s going back
