Alright chaps,

Having issues with my sub, took it to an independent garage and they said it was faulty.

Ordered in a used part only to find out that it was also faulty.

From reading some threads on here I can see that it may be an amp issue as it sounds a little crackly.

I’m convinced the sub is also fault as you can hear it shaking but do you reckon the amp could be at fault too causing interference?

I say this because I had a water damaged rear wiper pump replaced and the tweeter is also suffering from interference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Inspect the amp wiring for any corroded connections, rear wiper is usually boot lid leakage, not normally amp damages but there are some water pipe joins that lead to the boot lid above the amp area & water can run down that side towards the amp & if fitted parking, towing & convenience modules.

Remove the trim, disconnect the amp & check for green corrosion points.

Sub usually cracks if it sounds little off, plastic seems appear to split.
