So my 8PA 1.8 TFSI (CDAA I think)has been having coolant leak issue.

Its been max-min over the course of a week top up same again.

However this evening it finally decided that it was no longer playing that game and all of the coolant decided to drain out. I filled with water to limp the remaining mile home had to stop twice 2x 1l bottles.

This is where I need a little help, the Car is now on 122k, 7 months ago new clutch and flywheel, just passed its MOT a 1 week ago. I need some best guesses on what has gone on it, and if it's worth the ££ vs the ££ already pumped into it in the last 6 months

The leak is below the Intake manifold, I could see it a bubble and hiss and fart when I stopped.

I've attached an image of approx where I could peek through and see the leak.

Any help would be amazing, car is my lively hood and I'm up a certain creek with no boat little on a paddle atm.

********, should add this to, theres no Mayo in the oil filler and no oil in the coolant.

You should be able to spot the leaking item with a torch and a mirror. When you do, order the parts and fit on your days off.
If your not able to do it yourself you’ll need a garage that supplies a courtesy car, it’ll be off the road at least a day

Thanks m8 I'll give that a try this evening after work.

I don't mind DIY, but I have the fear I fk it up worse is the biggest issue :(

So the water pump on the front of the engine had gone, the plastic had shattered on both of the outlets (i assume there outs).
£400.00 jobby.
