Engine management light on and car not able to pick up speed. Done diagnostics test and says code P0299. After reading forums alot of people say it could be the actuator or a boost leak. Is anyone able to help on this problem? Any one local maybe?
Need my baby back on the road!

Thank you in advance

Check for intake pipes loose due to clips broken or dislodged, check the boost sensor & solenoid valve block.

Thanks for your help!
Are you local to me by any chance?
Is this something you would be able to look at?

At the vacuum hose from where it connects to the brake boost vacuum hose, suck on it and see if the turbo actuator moves if not then you have a vacuum leak.

Vacuum leak is the first place to start, then boost leak.

Does the car boost at all? Even a little

Hopefully getting it looked over tomorrow. After watching some videos on youtube looks like it may be a easy fix. I hope!!
The max speeds is about 30mph and feels real sluggish. Also the ESP light is constantly on

I’ve attached the diagram for a BMN 170 Hp engine, if this is your engine then:

A likely cause is a vacuum leak, caused by the swirl flap actuator situated on the intake manifold fold labelled as number 9. Disconnect and suck on the pipe going into the actual labelled as #9 and see if it moves back and forth about 10mm. If it moves then repeat the test to #10 the turbo actuator.

mechanic will take 5 mins to check all of this wit a mityvac and come to a conclusion if it’s vacuum related.
