Clutch vs coil pack symptoms?

An A4 I've just purchased has what I originally suspected as a slipping clutch but now I'm not so sure.

Sometimes when I change gear then put my foot down the car will judder/stutter and appears to lose power briefly. I thought this was just in lower gears but I was on the carriageway earlier and put my foot down fairly hard in 4th and got the 'stutter' again more violently - I also saw the engine mgmt light flash a few times.

This seems to fit what others have described as misfire from a bad coilpack or sparkplugs.

Are there any tests I can do to rule one out?

Completely replace all coil packs and spark plugs

haha guess that is an obvious test! How much do you reckon this will cost?

I've had the car for a couple of days - has an AA 3 month warranty (whatever that's worth!)

Or injector o ring seals if still happening after the above,
Or before because it's cheaper
