Hi all,

Has anyone suffered from a failed motor mount on their S7/RS7?

Im trying to find out if it can be a DIY repair, or if it’s a specialist/dealer job.

I have a failed motor mount and I’m told both mounts should be replaced. The best price I can find for parts only is north of £1200 (and that’s via the forum Parts Request....)

Coming after it’s 40k service and 4 new tires, this is an unplanned (and unwanted) cost. I’m out of warranty.

Thanks,
John.

Hi mate. Did you get this sorted? Just wondering what sort of symptoms you were getting. Audi had my car for 4.5 weeks because of a knocking noise that they have still not resolved. Just wondered if you had any knocking.

In my case, no knocking noise, just failure codes on VCDS.

The active mounts are used with Cylinder on Demand - when it goes into 4 cylinder mode. I’ve now had this disabled (As part of APR Stage 1 tune)

If you have access to VCDS it will show an error code if your mounts are bad.

What kind of knocking noise?.....

John.

Sounds more suspension Had the whole front end replaced under warranty.
