4.0 TT Motor Mounts

Hi all,

Has anyone suffered from a failed motor mount on their S6/RS6?

Im trying to find out if it can be a DIY repair, or if it’s a specialised/dealer job.

Been told both mounts should be replaced, and the best price I can find for parts only is north of £1200

The mounts are approx £570 each (should get them cheaper from TPS), and to remove them does not look easy with the left side being far more difficult than the right and involves a slight lowering of the subframe, would be a very difficult job to do on the drive with the car on axle stands.
