repeated module power up flattening battery

Initially, I had an ESP and handbrake fault light up accompanied with the engine management light. A VCDS scan revealed a MAF sensor error. The MAF sensor was replaced and error logs cleared. Annoyingly, I'm just left a repeated module power up when the engine is switched off. If I leave the handbrake on, then the light stays on continually, which flattens the battery even faster. A VCDS scan does not log any errors or faults. The battery charges up ok when driving helping to maintain charge on a daily basis. The battery does charge fully with a charger, although the continual module scans drains the charge within 36 hrs. I get 12.2v when the battery is 25 % charged. I'll check voltage again when fully charged.

Could this be related to the wheel sensors...? Albeit, most people reporting similar problems seem to have an error logged......whereas my car doesn't.

Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.

You would need to check to see what the current drain is with the engine switched, and again after maybe 15 minutes and 30 minutes, really to check if there is a continuous drain from the battery. All systems should go to sleep after maybe 10 minutes leaving a constant drain of maybe up to 50 milli amps. Checking this using a current meter set on a low range must be continuous or at least it needs to be connected continuously, I rigged up a DVM set on a low current range, but added a shorting link across it and just removed the shorting link when checking the drain current.

Edit:- remember not to do anything like opening doors or bonnet etc while checking the drain current as you will waken up modules and so increase the drain current for maybe another 10 minutes. If necessary make up a set of drain test leads and have the meter and the shorting link out side the bonnet area, but the bonnet does not need to be closed to check for current drain, just that if the car is out in the open, if is best to stop rain etc getting onto the engine area.

Which one...or did you replace all of them....and by wheel sensor, you mean abs sensor....?

It was rear wheel sensor which was replaced it was showing up on the computer once replaced everything was fine
