Advice Needed - Starting Issue

Hi,

Looking for some advice regarding my s3.

When I go to start it, it turns over but wont start unless i rev the accelerator peddle really hard. Once started i have to keep revving it or the car goes back down to idle then stalls.

Has anybody had any similar issues or could point me in the right direction?

I have not got access to VCDS just yet but trying to get that sorted in the near future.

Currently the work i have carried out on the car is replaced the oil pump, replaced the pick up pipe, new starter motor and changed the crank position sensor.

I have tried using my obd2 reader but not showing any fault codes.

Any help is appreciated.

I had this issue a while ago. Unplug the MAF and see if it starts and runs ok, if it does Check the turbo intake pipe for any splits in it as the car will draw in unmetered air and cut out. After that check any other pipes and hoses for holes/cuts/splits in them.

I have unplugged the MAF and still had the same issue. Will check all the hoses and pipes when a next get to it. It's currently sat in a mate's garage that I bought the car off.
