Home maintenance....what next?

I want to do the routine maintenance of my 2002 A4 tdi 130 myself.

Is there anywhere that I can get procedure/instruction from?
Are Haynes, Bentley manuals relevant for UK/Ireland models.

Also, would it be worth my while in getting the VAG software and cable for
my laptop to diagnose any problems before going to stealer?
I presume there are resources like this forum that could explain potential
error codes?

Help appreciated, moving out to the country and dealer drop-offs major hassle and
expense in the future, hence the DIY approach!
 
Haynes don't do a manual for the B6 A4 sadly.
Bentley manuals only cover petrol models.

So, what you want is probably Elsawin.
 
A quick search on ElsaWin seems to show it is a tough nut to get your hands on? Any ideas on where to source it for my model?
 
Apparently you can get it on the Internet for free if you know where to look.
